Account Removal

Hey,

I find the community to be far too rude to new members. I'm trying to find a way to just delete my account as I won't contribute to a site that doesn't value my contributions.

Since I don't need an account to use the front page deals I request that my content be removed and my account be deleted.

I'm sure I won't be missed.

This is a fast-paced website with hundreds of thousands of users between lurkers and members. There are bound to be some issues. I'm sorry you had a bad experience. With new members the most common one is not complying with FAQ's and general posting rules. I admit though, it's a lot to take in and learn. All contributions are appreciated.

They can close your account but it's unlikely that all of your content will be deleted. The mods here are pretty busy. We can't miss you if you don't stick around and let us get to know you.

I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling frustrated. Like LC said, this is a large communuty, and there are many kinds of personalities here. Just like real life, some people may become your friends, and others, well, not so much!

If you have had issues with individuals, you can mod alert those posts or PM a mod, and we will look into it. This is a community that thrives on member contribution, and it would be a shame to see someone go because they felt they weren't valued,

PM me if you are serious about wanting your account closed. We don't delete all of your posts though ...just a heads up.

How do I delete my slickdeals account? I do not see a setting in the "Account Settings" page.
