Thread Titles search default to be ON

Over the time I have used the site, almost always I type in my search into the search box in the upper right, and then have to click "Search in thread titles only". Any way to have this box checked as Default?

thank you! I had no idea why I could never find any of the threads that I was looking for.

This would result in so many reposts... Or I'd have to google a thread.

Now I know why I couldn't find the threads..

it'll search it, but usually its more effective to look at thread titles only which is what the op is asking for.

I am confused by your statement - is this a recent change? From what I remember it searches the first post, thread titles, AND all the other posts by default. edit: I see now there is a checkbox there. However, it's not there in the freebies or in this forum.

Regardless, I am more interested in the titles only option - and having this being something I can default in my preferences if possible.

So can my request be done? Should I submit a ticket somewhere? Will you advance the idea at the next SD meeting?
