Of course I see this deal after I purchased my 8GB kit on Amazon..

But like I said; it's a 16GB kit (two 8GB sticks) for a killer price. I haven't seen a 16GB break below $149 yet. It's got great CAS latency also but is only 1333 Mhz for those who care. Should work for all 2011 and after MacBook Pro's.

It's on Amazon for $147 (but no tax for some and free shipping) http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Cha...B006DI9PG8

I have submitted lower price to Amazon.com so hopefully they PM.

Linkie for the lazy: http://www.frys.com/product/69320...ge:Mon_p25

Detailed Description
(Manufacturer # CMSO16GX3M2A1333C9 )

Cas Latency: 9
Timing: 9-9-9-24
Voltage: 1.5V
Multi-channel Kit: Dual Channel Kit

... don't rep me, I do this for fun. Unlike Selma-bot.

Amazon price dropped to $111.98 (+free shipping) but temporarily OOS
Make sure you select Amazon as the vendor on the right side list.

Combining Chase Freedom's 5% bonus this drops the price down to $106.38 and free shipping if it ships before end of March.

Good price for Corsair.

Newegg had a deal for 8 GB GeIL DDR3 Laptop Memory for $53.99 per stick a few weeks ago.
LINK

It looks like memory prices are starting to stabilize... so I don't know how much more the 8 GB sticks are going to drop in the short-term.

TU for a good post and good deal. Big thumbs down to Fry's. $1.99 shipping becomes $28 to AK. USPS would charge about $1 to ship RAM. Hopefully Amazon will match.

Edit: FWIW, single sticks of this are $62 each and prime/fss eligible but out of stock, order now ship later. Just $10 more than Fry's with shipping

Agreed; I actually am waiting to see if Amazon will get more in stock and PM; I hate buying from FRY's even though I'm in Cali.

MAKE SURE, your laptop can support up to 16gb. Now for most people, ask yourself. Do you NEED 16gb? It won't help you browse faster or play games any faster. Video editing? Not unless you have a powerful computer already and software to use all that ram.

- unless you want to use ramdisk, but it will severely decrease startup times depending on the programs you put on it -

I just picked this up last week for the same price at Fry's for my early 2011 Macbook Pro. Passed 10 cycles of Memtest and has been working great. A great buy.

Why would it not pass 10 cycles of Memtest? What was the point of testing?

Would this work in a dell latitude e6420? Dell says only up to 8gb but I could use some extra

I always test new RAM to ensure it's stability and my data's integrity. In this case, this is not Corsair's Apple certified part, although I believe it's probably identical. So, I did an extended test to be sure it would work as some people reported some errors with this part in Macbooks. Also Frys has a 15 day return policy. The Apple certified part is CMSA16GX3M2A1333C9 vs CMSO16GX3M2A1333C9.
