Looking for an ultra quiet heatsink/cooler for Sandy/Ivy Bridge :)
Looking for the best heatsink/cpu cooler I can possibly find that is QUIET (i will be doing music production with my computer). I need something to cool my sandy/ivy bridge (im waiting 1 more month for ivy bridge, if not then i7 2600k). there are so many coolers out there, ive done googling and they recommend silentpcreview, but silentpcreview.com is in the stone ages (they havent reviewed anything for WELL over a year). Sandy Bridge doesn't get very hot so with most coolers you can use a fan controller to lower their RPMs to make them quieter and still cool sufficiently. If you have decent airflow through the case, you can probably even remove the fan from the CPU heatsink.

any of these seems good. btw I used stock for my i7 950 build. The case fans makes more noise then it does. Overall, its just a low hum. unless its dead quit i dont usually notice it. |
