I'm relatively sure that France has the same graduated style tax that we do, so they would pay 75% on income OVER 1M Euro, not from the ground up.

It's too high, I wouldn't support it. But the problem is, no matter what the tax rate, one side of the aisle will say it should be higher and one side will say it should be lower.

Now you see why I refuse to go in endless circles.

As I said, from what I've heard, I would not want to live there.

But I really don't know what the country is like. A country is far more than its government.

Plus my values have been shaped by my environment. If I'd experienced a different environment, I might have very different values.
