Deal notification not useful

hi, at the moment my deal notifications is useless to me since for example someone posts a deal at 5:30 pm, I won't receive the alert in my inbox until 7:30! By then everything is pretty much OOS. I'm new to site so dont know if some settings should be changed. Please help, thanks!
These are my settings
Target forums: hot deals
Minimum thread rating: Ignore rating
Send/when: email/instantly

I'm not receiving email alerts at all.

Perhaps it's the keywords your using, or maybe try checking your spam/junk mail folder.

I was just going to post this concern as well. Even though I have chosen - email - instantly, I don't receive alerts for hours.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I also have this problem.

Today's BlackBerry PlayBook deal is the perfect example -- I'm lucky I was on the site when I was and managed to get one, which is exactly why I had the deal alert set up. However, when the deal is posted at 12:59am local time, and I don't receive the email until 2:35 *PM* local time, you have a massive problem on the backend.

Over 13 hours is NOT the instant notifications I signed up for, SD!

I would set an alert for email replies to this message, but..

I created an instant Amazon deal alert and received an email 2 minutes after the thread was posted. I tested with gmail.

Just call them "there was a deal" alerts. Problem solved.

I use gmail and get alerts within a few minutes as well.

I would tighten up your settings a bit, it's going to be slow if you want EVERY SINGLE DEAL to be sent to you.. at-least put like 3 thumbs or something as a requirement

I do have a three thumbs requirement and get deals 2-12 hrs late.
Is it because alerts go to yahoo (not gmail) -shouldn't be?

Yahoo, hotmail, and several others can introduce delays. I get deal alerts immediately with gmail.

how do i set to receive my notifications by email?
