Anyone buying this laptop, consider also getting MS Office which has a $20 or $40 discount (depending on type) when bundled with a laptop. I was surprised that the discount was prorated between the laptop and Office when I got them, which didn't make a difference to the end price, but got me thinking: there is an extra discount opportunity for someone who wanted this laptop but didn't need MS Office.

1. Buy MS Office with the laptop, make sure the cashier scans the promo bundle discount barcode in their binder (should be automatic for online purchase)
2. Later on, before the 14 day return policy expires, return the unopened MS Office.
3. You will end up getting an extra ~$32 discount on the laptop!

Here are the details from my receipt:

Note that the total of the two line items for coupon no.12651 is the $40 bundle discount. But only $7.16 of that discount is attached to the MS Office, so when MS Office is returned you will get $149.99 - 7.16 = 142.83 back. The $32.84 discount will "stick" to the laptop even when the MS Office is returned!

To maximize this opportunity, buy the cheapest MS Office that qualifies for the $40 bundle discount.

Though when I purchased $40 coupon was divided proportionally, when I returned just software today; I got only $109.99 + Tax back; so entire $40 coupon was taken away. I argued, but they said – its system, and there is nothing can be done
