Costco will be offering a $100 discount on the NovaForm Gel Memory Foam mattresses (Queen/King/Cal King) -- starting Mar/8th
Check out this link [costco.com] for more info on these mattresses

After this discount, the in store price will be $399 for the queen & $599 for the king & cal-king (online prices are slightly higher). And, of course, this comes with Costco's liberal exchange/return policy.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

They not the exact same (the one from Costco has 3 layers [costco.com]; and the one from amazon has 2 layers). Plus, you get the benefit of Costco's return policy if you don't like it.
BTW, we bought the one from Costco last week & love it so far.

I tried quite a few brands/models including the iComfort. The Novoform Gel in costco is firmer than the firmest iComfort; plus the iComforts are so much more expensive.
Our local costco had a sample piece to feel it. I finally went with Costco because of the return policy.

....from the reviews on Costco.com [costco.com]
- Our Novaform Gel 12" mattress has 2.5" of gel infused premium memory foam, 2.5" of textured foam and 7" of premium base foam. We have taken our Nutratemp memory foam and infused it with gel beads for more support and a cooler temperature. This mattress is considered to be an extra firm.
- Our Pure Comfort 12" mattress will be one of our firmest and most supportive models. This mattress consists of 2.5" of Nutratemp memory foam as the top layer and 9.5" of premium base foam. It has a Cotton knit smooth top cover.
- Our Serafina 12" mattress is manufactured with 2.5" of gel infused premium memory foam, 2.5" of Luratex Custom Wave foam, and 7" of base foam. It has a Waterfall designed cover with a stretch-to-fit platinum swirl top and quilted jacquard side panels. This mattress is a medium-firm with a medium-high level of support.
- Our Deluxe Comfort 12" mattress is manufactured with 2.5" of NutraFresh memory foam, 2.5" of sculpted air channel foam, and 7" of base foam. It has a 100% polyester SI gold basket weave cover with quilted gold basket weave board side panels. This mattress is considered a medium firm with a medium-high level of support.
- Our Roma Sera 12" mattress is manufactured with 2.5" of Nutrafresh memory foam, 3.5" of Luratex Custom Wave foam, and 6" of conventional base foam. It has a quilted waterfall design cover with a stretch-to-fit platinum swirl top and quilted jacquard sides. This mattress is considered to be a medium soft with a high level of support."

From Costco's mailer -- it isn't valid on the full size :-(
Only Queen/King/Cal-king are eligible.

they only carry queen / cal king in store. i've got the queen one, and it does have another layer of foam tha tthe amazon ones dont have ( costco.com sells both and the in store one is normally $50 more than the 2 layer amazon type).

that said, i've slept on a tempurpedic before and these are quite a bit more firm, though i actually liek that as you tend to sink into a tempurpedic and they trap heat and get overly warm. the novaform doesnt really get warm like that, not to mention its like 5-6 times less expensive. probably oneo f the best things i've ever bought, i feel like i get much much better sleep.

In our local Costco, they carry the Queen & regular King (not the Cal-king). So, the selection may be regional

We go this last week...here are a few thoughts.
- It's a little more firmer than all the memory foam mattresses that we tried. We tried various brands including iComfort, Enso, Macy's store brand, a couple of latex mattresses, etc
- It took just a few hours to come back into this full shape
- The smell of the foam didn't last for more than 1-2 days
- So far, we like it a lot.

We have had this mattress since September after returning a POS Sealy Barryton that was two years old...yes, Costco took it back!! heart
We wanted a firm mattress and intially this was very good, however, in the last two months it got softer and softer to the point where our backs started aching. I actually flipped the mattress over and we have been sleeping on the bottom side which is nice and firm!!
BEfore I flipped it, at first the mattress is nicely firm but softens quickly. If you need a firm mattress don't buy this one (perhaps one without the "gel") but, if you like a med-firm then I think this is perfect. It is very comfortable at first but us older folks do better with firm!

We'll be shopping around for a mattress in the next week or so. But for those that own this type of foam mattress, do you need a box spring? Cause our current setup is a typical mattress with the box spring so not sure how it would work with this type of foam mattress.

A box spring is not needed. We have placed our mattress on this bedframe [walmart.com] from Walmart -- very highly recommended (easy to install, light-weight & lot of storage underneath)
