maybe just me, I used 25 off 100(or 30 off 150, or 25 off 75) coupon one time every month to order downloaded software and ship to CA to avoid tax, so far, no any issues and got my full rebates, I guess i had to be careful now due to I do not know you can not use coupon for download version.

I was in the same position. When I contacted customer support this morning, they agreed to give me 5 coupons($65 each ) instead of the rebate since the rebate will be declined due to the fact that the order date is showing up as 03/06. Since returns/refunds are not possible on downloads, I thought this is the best we can get.

Did you contact customer service ? I am curious to see what kind of response you got from them

Did they give you coupons or gift cards? I hadn't contacted CS yet as I was waiting to see how it played out with the rebate. I'll shoot them an email now and see what they say.

They are giving me coupons. I am guessing they would be "Staples dollars" which you can use to buy anthing in the store(hopefully GCs too)....I haven't received them in my email yet..It could take 4-7 business days..

2 quick questions, I know this deal is dead and gone, but I read the whole thread and:

1) What exactly does it mean to order from a "kiosk"? Why do people do this?

2) The people getting blacklisted are people using coupons on the download version, correct? Coupons are okay with the boxed version?

1) The Kiosk is the computer at the Staples store for customers to order from staples.com. When you are about to complete the order, you will have a choice to pay online or at the counter. It is advantageous to check-out at the counter as you can use coupons on items (if available online) that are otherwise OOS at the store.

2) Blacklisting is actually turning into a blackhole: not much clarity as to what "exactly" leads to one to be BL'ed. But for certain, DO NOT use coupons on Download software orders. The non-physical coupons from e-j-u-n-k-i-e and ebay also seem to raise flags with Staples. Also, the use of many coupons, via online orders, legitimate or not, also leads to flags.

You could thus use gift cards which do not work online. Some people may not have a CC and this method allows them to shop online. There are many other reasons. No tracking of personal details if paid at the register.

2) Coupons should not be used on downloads. Abusive coupon usage will cause blacklisting even if used on so-called eligible items.

I finally resolved this with a few emails back and forth. Staples/Parego validated the rebate and will mail out the check for $325. Initially they only validated one copy ($65), so it took a few extra emails to sort out.
