Looking for a new stereo system. Shelf style or mini, whatever you prefer to call it.
Looking for the best bang for my buck.
I requested help back in November and didn't get a single response.
Hoping for better luck this time.

You probably didn't get any response because you're very vague.
-What is your budget?
-What do you mean by shelf system? Do you want something like a receiver with 2 passive speakers, or do you want an all-in-one like the iHome systems, but better sounding?
-How big of a room does it need to fill, or how loud does it need to play? Is it going to be providing easy listening in your quiet office, or will this be blaring music through a backyard during weekend get-togethers?
-What is your source? Are you playing CDs, radio, Sirius, through your ipod, 3.5mm headphone jack to another digital device, etc? If CDs, are they store-bought CDs or MP3 CDs?
-Any features? Such as do you want it to have Bluetooth to connect to laptops and other computers

You've been here since 2008. Go back and read the sticky, then come give us something to work with. Those are just a few of the questions that you should have taken the initiative to address instead of being asked for the particulars. No one's getting paid to help you, so don't make it so difficult.
