SAMSUNG WEP490 Bluetooth Earpiece Free At Staples YMMV

Just got back from the store. Headsets were marked at $24.90 and rang up at that price as well. Since the item is "out of stock" online, the manager would NOT sell them to me at the $4.90 price. He said, "They're clearancing them out online." I replied, "And you're clearancing them out here, hence the tag that says: CLEARANCE." He retorts, "But not at that price." Then he sort of laughs. Probably knows that they'll be marked down this evening and he'll get them for himself. Typical.

Also just got back from the Gulfgate store in Houston. Had several, and was price matched to the $4.90 price. However, the cashier said she could not enter a coupon code without a physical copy to check the limitations. I asked to talk to the store manager, and he checked the coupon code for validity on the computer, which came out as invalid for this transaction.

I was originally going to pick up 2, but because I could only get the $4.90 price, just decided to buy one since I already drove out there.

Annoyed that the cashier didn't just type in the code...

Darn it, I was got back from the store and was unsuccessful.

I tried to get two, but the price remained $40 something. So I asked just to do it one and it took off $12 from the $24 price. I mean not too shabby if you have rewards to burn. I was kind of afraid to ask for pricematch because the manager knows me well and I do not want to get on his bad side.

But the cashier was beautiful, she just put in the code LIKE A BOSS, not caring at all.

I just got back from staples and wasn't able to get this at $4.90. The item ranged up $24.90. Is the $4.90 a regional thing? It ranged up $24.90 for me. I told them that its $4.90 online but the dude said they can't price match for something "out of stock". What kind of BS is that? Anyways, what is staples policy on price matching staples.com regardless of the stock inventory?

i believe a picture of her now is more important to post than the posted receipt of the original SD

My experience. I went to my local staples store. And sure enough they had it in the back. Apparently the manger or someone put a bunch in one of those boxes near the register, but then I guess someone moved it to the back. Odd they weren't on the floor...
Anyway, he brings it, rings it up and the price is a horrendous $24, and $13 with the coupon. I tell him it's about $4.60 online. He agrees. I did not get it for free but for $5.

But fear not my SD people. If staples indeed reduces the price to $4.60, then we can march in and demand them to lower the price and get the coupon too. right?

The staples managers at my city are real jerks. Tried 4 places, only one place near me actually will price match for 4.90, didn't use the coupon cause the manager is awesome (he even took 2 for himself LOL). It is not in the weekly ad according to the online one. If it is in the physical store, that would be great, but I doubt it. I think all the store cashiers have them locked in the back room, says 17-22 in stock on their computer, but they "can't find any"
