OCZ Agility 3 240GB $230 after $20 MIR + FREE Mass Effect 3

Most of the Sandforce problems have been addressed through recent firmware updates. As for Synchronous vs Asynchronous, normal users won't really care because it's hard to tell the difference. I love my Corsair Force 3, and I wish I didn't wait so long to get one.

ok they did match it eventually. at first they were like I have to return my package and delay my video card purchase in the process for something simple and free jeez lol.

I wish I had spent a little extra money to get a better quality drive. I installed this drive and it died after 14 days. Dead as a brick, no computer will recognize it. Have to RMA it back to Newegg for a replacement, I would rather just have a refund minus a 15% restocking fee.

Yeah, I bought a cheap kingston a while ago... every couple months it stops being recognized and I have to reinstall from backup. I just got a 27 inch imac and I I'm going to pay 55 bucks to open my comp and have it installed (looks like a bitch). I feel the reviews speak for themselves with the crucial m4 and even if this drive is under warranty I'm still going to have to pay to have it removed and the next one installed. I feel the extra cash will probably be well spent.

Yeah, I wish I would have gone with an M4 or something more reliable. I've always heard OCZ is the bottom of the barrel, but I figured the price was good so why not give it a shot, right?

A sandforce is a sandforce. An OCZ sandforce is pretty much the same as a kingston or mushkin or Intel Sandforce.

OCZ A's are shit. I bought three and two had to be RMA'd. One of the two had the newest f/w. Proceed at your own risk.

Can't comment on an Agility 3, but I've had a Vertex 3 for 10 months now and it's been great (in an early 2011 MacBook Pro). A few of my friends also have OCZ 3 series SSD's and they haven't had any issues either.

If you buy one just make sure the latest FW is on the drive (it should be).

I just said fark it. I'm tired of researching this tirelessly. My M4 will arrive tomorrow.

my agility 240gb (2.15) is still up and running. for 4 months. My Solid3 (2.15) is running for 6 months.

I went from a ocz vertex to a crucial m4. Both very stable cards. But apparently sandforce crapped on everything in between those two releases. I hope the firmware for this card keeps it from sucking.
