surely you have found out by now but when searching a shoe store for the cheapest item your going to want to look towards the shoe laces most the time.

Yes the $2.49 shoe laces appeared to be the cheapest thing. I've never needed extra shoe laces in my entire life so I ended up going with some socks that were on sale. Everyone can always use socks, right?

Anyone actually use these? How do they compare to Vibrams, or are they even supposed to?

Also, how is the sizing? True?

Having owned the skeletoes and 2 pairs of Vibrams... they don't compare at all. The Fila's have a terrible build quality. Mine started coming apart on the outer side of the right foot after owning for less than 2 months. Also, the soles are incredibly thick and do not give the barefoot feel. Shop around and you can find the far superior Vibrams at the same price

I've been following both for about a year. You wont find vibrams for $30, even on sale (or if you somehow do, it will be a tiny selection of the least popular colors and sizes). More like $50-55 on a decent deal, or $80-100 at regular price.

I've tried on both and probably liked the actual ground feel better on the vibrams, but they were also far tougher to get on, and for my foot the vibram's instep was very uncomfortably tight.

I'd definitely say these shoes need to be tried on in person, I'd recommend trying them on in store first. Otherwise be prepared to return a pair or two before you decide what you want...the fit is a lot more important on these than on regular shoes.
