Help me TRICK OUT my custom built PC!!!!
Hi everybody!!!You guys are the best, smartest people on the internet. Since you helped me build my computer, I know there's no better people to ask Reps will be given for all good answers.I'd like to trick out my computer (appearance wise) as much as possible. I have the antec nine hundred case and I plan on replacing the front blue fans with some of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6811998128 As you can tell I'm really into colors I also want to put some bright blue LED lights within the case. Also maybe use something like this too http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...llFullInfo I would like the best (reasonably low cost lol) suggestions for lighting, all that types of stuff (cathode is soooo 2007). Stuff to make my computer appear cooler, or really anything to give my music studio (its a music pc) better ambiance. I know you guys are the best around. This is the computer that's going to change my life so I'd like it to be as eye catching as possible when people walk in, and give me a little smile everytime I see it turn on. Thank you so much to all God bless!!! (rep in advance

Anyways, I would suggest spending some time doing a really nice wire tuck job, then emphasizing the side panel. Either tuck the wires, or find some nice sleeveing or wrapping. This site - LINK [frozencpu.com] - has a lot of that kinda stuff. Good luck and post some pictures when you are done. |

I agree. Pretty fans might not always have the best airflow or low noise. Personally I am not a huge fan of tons of lights because they are so bright. This is especially true if this will be in a bedroom or something like that. If you put EV or CC tubes in, a switch to turn it all off is well worth your time. Vague questions receive vague answers . . . . . .

What about doing water cooling for your PC to keep it quiet, but then using the UV reactive liquid or tubing to get it to glow? This would give you your pretty lighting, but also keep your PC nice and quiet.
Example: ![]() *Edit* - Obviously you'll need some UV cathode / LED lighting as well to get it to actually glow. Here's another option if you really want a CPU fan (if not using water cooling): http://www.xoxide.com/cooljag-pro...mmfan.html Last edited by ElectroWolf; 03-09-2012 at 09:06 AM.. |

How about some case fan grills?

Yeah I am customizing it to be very quiet. I didn't exactly elaborate like I should have. I am going to use the Noctua NH-D14 cooler for my processor on the lowest vibration setting, and every case fan that I have is going to be on LOWEST setting (when they are on low they are not that loud at all). I didn't think LED lighting could emit so much noise. I had cathode lights connecting to my computer but physically outside of the tower and they didn't make much noise at all.

I've got 4 sticks of LED memory that lights up as it is working. It sort of has a Matrix look to it when lit up as the LEDs flash in a sort of falling sequence.
Video here (not mine) [youtube.com] Crucial Ballistix Tracer was what I have, but I think Crucial has several models ... Here's a pic (not my build though)

anyway, how about some amBX lighting? It's external, but it goes with the theme. http://www.youtube.com/results?se...90l6.1l7l0 Last edited by bubbachuck; 03-12-2012 at 12:40 PM.. GO DUKE!
Pro tip: when you buy a Steam game and don't plan on playing it right away, store it in your inventory instead to keep your options open because it's worthless once it's tied to your account Amazon pricing algorithm investigated [michaeleisen.org] Find out your PSU's real manufacturer [hardwaresecrets.com] | More than you care to know about PS3 hardware... It's interesting watching the evolution of what people build for themselves. When I first started building my own I had the bright case, lights, fans, the more tricked out the better. Now I find I want an unobtrusive, quiet, well ventilated, quality case. I must say however, looking at some of the recommendations above, it brings back that desire for a sharp looking machine.

I am not a big fan of lights, but i like quite cases. you selected a really loud fan.
