USB 3.0 1 TB 2.5" internal OR 2.5" portable external hard drive?
Hey everyone, I'm looking for either a 1 TB 2.5" internal laptop drive (to use with my external enclosure that has USB 3.0) OR a 1 TB portable external drive with USB 3.0 that doesn't require an AC power adapter (e.g. Toshiba Canvio). Please no refurbs!
I know the floods that devastated southeast Asia knocked out a bunch of hard drive factories so prices are high, but are there any "deals" so to speak? Anything is better than Newegg's current exorbitant prices.
If there aren't any deals/semi-bargains, could someone at least post a price range that would be good for these sort of drives in the current market?
e.g. <$120, <$100, etc. so I could at least keep an eye out for deals or price reductions in the future
Amazon is selling the same drive for the same price (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0056YNA2A), but for those of you with Chase Freedom Visa cards you can get 5% off Amazon purchases until the end of the month which makes it cost $104.50.
^--are any of these two good deals in light of the current market?
