I dont think you get a warranty unless its not really used, sometimes with amazon warehouse the stuff has never been sold before and is just open box/ damaged box that may be warranty but I am not sure. I picked one up already got it this week. It was in mint condition and it is amazing!! Very pleased with it so far

How do you verify if you have a warranty or not? I do like Amazon's return policy, but think I will pass.

Can you give me more details. Did it come in orgiinal box / packaging. Include remote, etc. Do you know if it has the manufacturer warranty?

came with original everything..plastic bag with everything was sealed too, it's possible nobody even turned the tv on, but the latest firmware was installed, tv was manufactured in august of last year.

I assumed it had the original warranty, but it's possible it's only a 30 day warranty idk. I figure I will have it on so much this month that if it breaks, it's going to be now rather than 6 months down the line. I have 500 dollars in gift cards from the southwest credit card deal posted here a while back so it didn't make any sense for me not to get it.
