I've had both and kept the Flyer. This was a no brainer. Besides all of the additional features, the Flyer was noticeably faster than the Fire just moving around the OS. Browsing was MUCH faster, big difference. Everything just works and doesn't bog down and/or stutter.

Don't be fooled thinking this single core can't keep up with the later dual core tablets. The clock speed makes up for it and gives a user experience better than most dual cores. Even Anandtech feels the Flyer is snappier than Tegra 2.

It depends, I like my TF101 but my GF rather uses her Sensation to browse the web so the 7" is definitely a good tablet for her. I'll be the part-time user if it plays nice.

Anyone had any experience with refurb and buy.com? Any scratches/dents? I bought some refurb pc from dell outlets and they were like new... just wondering if that's the case here.

You can use your cash back credit card but you can't direct link from your credit card's website to get extra cash back (e.g. Discover 5%). If you try, you'll get prompted by a message on Buy.com asking you to chose which of the two rewards you want.

The $10 can be stacked, but you need to be registered as a new customer.

The best tablet for that price out there without contest. I have both the Flyer and the HTC EVO View (its Sprint clone). I've also had the Dell Streak and experience with other tablets. The Flyer is fast and is my favorite tablet I've ever had and have played with - highly recommend. Single core means nothing here, as this little tablet is still the fastest in the herd (the 1GB of RAM instead of 512mb helps alot).

i noticed they added some antivirus thing to my cart- it was free. But I cleared it out and i do believe that message went away... but I had better watch for some bs email from CA I suppose

Nice deal. I ordered one the last time they had this deal for a $200 refurb--I wasn't disappointed. The thing was in great shape, and only had a few scuffs around the edges.

HTC View 4G supports hardware h.264 decoding just fine, I use the free version of MX Player w/ the ARM7 addon codec support. I would assume the Flyer would do the same.
