*Solved* MID Android 7" tablet Stuck on "Factory data restoring"

Backstory:
I purchased one of those 7" google Chinese tablet knockoffs from meritline (I think?) and used it for a month or so. I am going to give it to my mom, cause she wants an e-reader.

Issue:
I went to 'privacy' and then to "Factory reset" trying to remove my email account and such from the tablet. now it is stuck on a screen that says "Factory data restoring, please waiting ...".
Was stuck on this screen for over 12 hours, i unplugged it and killed the battery and when i plug it back in and turn it on, same thing. the "home" button does nothing, same with volume up/down and the button that has a M on it. The status bar bellow the green guy is moving, makes be believe it is thinking, but probably not.

i have an external 16gb memory card in there, if i remove it still nothing happens.

Kernel 2.6.32
build number: v 1.3.1

Ill try anything and quick to respond to ideas, thanks for all the help anyone can give!

Have you tried rooting or anything?

If not or so, try holding the power and the + or - volume keys at the same time (its different depending on the device) to try to boot into safe mode. From there, you should be able to do a hardfactory reset or at least try to reset the device.

Device was rooted

I tried vol - and + holding with the power button and the m and power button. All of them just turn the device off and when it comes on does the same thing, stuck on the same screen as before

You're turning ON the device by holding power and + right? Not shutting off, I'm sorry if I didn't make that clear.

Was your device working prior to the root or did you get stuck in a mid-step phase?
And did you flash a custom ROM?

Depending on the root methods you used you might have a brick cause I know some roots/customROMS do not allow for factory resets from the Settings menu. There should usually be a fix though. I'm not exactly familiar with that device so I can't really give you a step by step, but please answer those questions and we'll see what we can do from there.

Yes, i tried turning it on with power plus all of the buttons, still no luck.

maybe you should reflash your firmware,and make it work , also have you tried the reset button on the device?

I didn't see anything that pointed in issue I am having.

Also, i dont see a reset button on here. ill google it again to see if i can find one

Nailed it... been over 1/2 a year, since i first flashed it, didnt remember how easy it was.... thanks for the suggestion! upgraded it even, now everything works.
