Found the thread so I went to Walmart to return something I had my receipt and had the item less than a week (didn't need it after all). I purchased this in a different town (I was passing by so bought it there was convient) I return it on the one I live closer and I notice that I didn't get my full refund on the taxs. So I ask the guy that did the refund how come I am not getting the whole taxs refund and he said oh because its a different city and I understand different cities charge different taxs however I had my receipt. So any feed about this? I am going to call Walmart first and see what they can do, if they wont do anything I will do a charge back. Its not about the money, but the way they handle it that money is there it didn't disappear.

I have degrees in both animal behaviorism and psychology and have come to the conclusion that animals make a hell of a lot more sense than people.

Don't get mad at Walmart. That is not consistent with their policy. You just got stuck with a stupid employee that didn't know how to use the register and adjust the tax rate. This has happened to me a handful of times at various stores. The employee always tries to give some phoney baloney excuse for why it's right or that they can't change the tax rate. I immediately respond with "that's illegal" and ask to speak with the manager. The manager always knows how to fix it. Always hold them accountable to the law which states they need to return the full amount plus tax. Just remember that even if they can't figure out how to make the computer do it, they have the option of pulling the difference out of the register in cash and handing it to you. They definitely have some process for recording discrepancies with the register receipt and explaining why the register is short a few dollars. Either way I wouldn't walk out of the store or let them assist another customer unless they were actively working on my issue. You would be shocked at how creative store employees can become when they have a line of customers forming and getting annoyed at the time delay. They especially don't like it when you start calmly and apologetically explaining the delay to the people in line behind you because then they look incompetent. All of a sudden the employees can magically think outside the box and solve your problem. .
Rep those who help you or give good information.Never call!!! If the store employees find out about the deal, you will kill the deal. And then I will make you sleep with da fishes. Kapesh? ![]() |
