Good deal w/ the 14mm lens. If only this was the black model! Amazon [amazon.com] and other retailers have the GF2 w/ 14-42mm lens for between $400-425.

The IQ is great and the optics are virtually unlimited because of the number of adapters that are oit there for m4/3 cameras if you dont mind focusing manually. These are great filmmaking cameras too with the new gf2 hack.

Some of the Amazon reviews are critical of low light performance. Anybody care to comment on this camera's abilities in this regard?

Image quality and low light performance is than any point and shoot, (slightly) worse than most current DSLRs and Nex cameras. Not as good as the newest batch of m4/3 cameras either. But very respectable -- a steal for the size and price.

DMC-GF2KK DMC-GF2KR DMC-GF2KS DMC-GF2CK DMC-GF2CR DMC-GF2CS The second to last character denotes what kit lens was included. K = 14-42mm zoom lens C = 14mm f2.5 prime lens The last character denotes what color the body of the camera is. K = black, R = red, S = silver. This same naming convention seems to apply for most of the Panasonic m4/3 cameras. |

Why would you buy this instead of ... let's say the Olympus E-PL1? I can snag the body and standard lens for under $300.
