New Slickdeals Feature: User Preferences and Personalization for the Frontpage

Like it.

Wish it would "snap" back to the top of the page after saving Preferences, instead of making me scroll back up.

The bubble indicating the number of comments over the top right of the image is horrible. There is plenty of space below the image and would be equally as effective.

gave it more time. i actually like the preferences. as long as the layout stays the same im all for it.

can you add a checkbox to include popular deals or not. im not sure how i feel about fully integrating popular deals onto the front page.



side question: why are the rss feed deal posts different? for mobile devices?

looks good so far me...preferneces option was good...

When I go to adjust my preferences, I can see the red and green boxes with how many deals it's removing / adding as I click and drag the slider, but the little slider doesn't actually move. Sometimes I see an orange bar at the top that says "Saved", sometimes not. It appears as if the changes took effect, since I see some FP deals with orange to the left...

Firefox 3.6.11 with addons
Intel e8400, 6 GB RAM

The preferences setting is okay, but I like seeing random stuff that I might buy, but had never thought of buying if it wasn't a good deal.

Yeah, but I think I'll be using the "like" setting more than the dislike. For example, Gun deals do not typically show up on our frontpage (for various reasons), but now you can set them to.

So what's the difference?

it looks great. I've a question:

lets say i dislike clothes (went to the front page and saved the preferences)..From then on, i don't see any clothes thread on the hot deals section.
is it possible to see the clothes thread without resetting the preferences just to skim through the current deals ?

My favorite has been, and will always be, simple. I like to keep my deals densely packed!

Yes, at the bottom of each day's worth of deals, you should see a gray box that says
"5 Expired Deals
+4 Hidden Deals
Click to expand"

Clicking this box will show all the hidden and expired deals.
