Amex Blue Cash Credit Card Cashback Details
I have had the Amex Blue Cash Credit Card since last year; signed up for it for the 3% cashback at supermarkets, 2% at gas stations and 1% everywhere else.
What they dont tell you is that only about 15 supermarkets chains and less than 10 gas stations will be registered as either supermarkets or gas stations.
Well after contacting customer service, here is the list:
Supermarkets:
- Earned Supermarkets Albertsons
- A&P
- Food Lion
- Fresh Direct
- H-E-B
- Hy-Vee
- Kroger
- Military commissaries
- Pathmark
- Peapod
- Piggly Wiggly
- Publix
- Safeway
- Sav-A-Lot
- Shoprite
- Stater Bros.
- Stop & Shop
- SuperValu
- Trader Joeâs
- Whole Foods
Gas:
- BP
- Chevron
- Circle K
- CITGO
- Exxon
- Mobile
- Shell
- Texaco
Just wanted to give an FYI to those with the card and didnt know, or those who are thinking about signing up for it. You may regularly go to a different chain of supermarkets or a different chain of gas stations, so this information should be helpful.
On a side note, what is a good credit card for a broader base of cashback?
