I would be very wary of buying a refurb of this charger again. I bought 2 'brand new' ones about 2 yrs ago and they were fine.

Bought 5 refurbished on a similar deal about 9 mos ago and 4 out of the 5 were DOA. The LED light on the end would work and the USB port on the end would supply power, but it would not charge the IPhone: a 3G or a 4. They were probably returned and only the led and usb were checked and checked off as good and put into refurb stock. On 3 of them I cracked open the piece that goes into the iphone, and you could see a wire had come loose. I had to crack open the 1 that worked to see what pin it was supposed to be attached to, resoldered it and they worked. But a lot of pain in the rear to get it working. That plus opening it breaks off little plastic tabs that hold it together so I had to wrap it in electrical tape to hold it back together-classy.
