Got mine yesterday. I love Amex so much now. I have had an Amex for 10 years but its only last year I started knowing about these deals? Has Amex always had these kinds of deals?

I think this was the first year they had this particular contest.

I like Amex too. I just used their extended warranty program because the fan crapped out in my laptop. I told them I just need them to pay for the fan but they refunded the full price of the computer.

Also, I keep getting random statement credits and members reward points from the "amex gift chain". The lastest was 2 $25 statement credits and one $5 statement credits this morning. I had thought I already received all of my gifts, but I probably didn't do the best accounting.

Anyone else have this experience? I had bought some things through the promotion that I hadn't received a confirmation e-mail for, so I proceeded to place orders beyond the 10 limit. I wonder if this has to do with it.

I got two random credits yesterday. One labeled "Amex 4sq credit" for $5 and another just "Amex Credit" for $10. I was not expecting either. I wish the would better label credits.

I got $25 worth of credits across three card accounts this week. The detail for each credit shows that it's from the gift chain. All of my gifts were accounted for so this is a nice surprise.

In the original GiftChain thread, someone reported getting CHARGES reversing the latest credits. My credits were from "Amex 4sq credit" and "Amex Credit", nothing about GiftChain, but mine appear to have been reversed yesterday as well. I emailed AmEx as I don't like them messing with my account like this. They should get things straight BEFORE applying credits!

Crap my 3 credits got reversed 2 days after being given as well. Please update with what AMEX has to say! I'm anticipating a boilerplate response.

it was a mistake. they reversed the credits.

if you've truly already received your gift chain stuff, and you got free random credits, then you shouldn't be complaining if they reverse a MISTAKE.
