I haven't used +P ammo, but I often run regular .38 through my .357. I shouldn't have any problems using this ammo, right?

Right, most modern day .38s can run +P ammunition....even the "light" ones like the S&W Airweight J-Frames. If you have a .357, you will have no problems at all. The .38 SPL +P doesn't generate anywhere near the same pressures as a .357 magnum.

This looks like it is only 500rds. Usually a "case" is 1000rds. YMMV on the naming I guess. Thanks for posting ammo deals though

probably depends on how well built / strong your gun is.

+p ammo isn't recommended on every .38 and others can eat it up like nothing

Yeah... I too, was expecting a "case" of 1000 rounds...

I would suspect that Remington ships these to dealers in "cases" of 10 boxes. That would be why 10 boxes is a case instead of the "usual" 20. Don't forget, 500 rounds of .38 take up much more space than 500 rounds of 9mm.

The price is good but not great.

If your gun is marked ".38+P" fine. If marked ".38", guess what? Not fine. Our J frame Smith airweights are +P guns. And any .357 can take any .38 ammo.

Not to nickpick, but where are you finding THIS PARTICULAR AMMO anywhere close to this price? I looked before I bought and posted....most places are between $32-37/box (50 rounds) for this ammo.

If it is cheaper or near in price....(by "good but not great" I would presume that you can find it regularly for $16-18ish a box since this is $14.95/box pricing)....can you link for me? I'm always looking for inexpensive places to buy ammo.
