They got 6M bps/768 Kbps for only $19.95/mo (1-yr contract) or 3 Mbps/512 Kbps for only $14.95. Excellent customer service unlike the Death Star (ATT). Had DSL Extreme for my business, now dropping ATT and getting them for my home.

NOTE: Renewal rate after 1-yr contract expires may NOT be the same. Ask DslExtreme to make sure.

Note that the no-contract 39.95 price (for 6Mbps) is if you don't want to sign a 1-yr contract and is month-to-month and you can cancel anytime.

If you are within Verizon's phone service, you can get dry loop (no dial-tone or phone service required) DSL from them. If not, then you need ATT phone service to get DSL, I think. You may want to verify this with DslExtreme.

I had DslExtreme DSL for my business and they were excellent. One thing I really like about them is their billing, unlike ATT's billing which seemed like they were billing you for different amount every month!

DslExtreme website was fine this morning, although I just tried to pre-qualify for my address and it was loading very slow.

Call ATT and ask to get same deal as DSLExtreme is promising.

Used the link to pre-qualify. Faster (and cheaper) speed not available in my area. YMMV

In ATT area - ATT phone line is req - that's about another $20/month. Extreme can NOT do dry-loop DSL, without phone line. So, 6mb internet would be close to $40/month who in ATT monopoly zone.

There are comparable deals out there with ATT, Comcast, etc. but those companies will raise their price after the 1-yr contract is over and you usually end up having to find another deal from a different company and have to switch your dsl provider. DslExtreme will allow you to resign the contract at the same rate. I had ATT for the same rate but they won't renew my contract without raising the rate.

If ATT cannot provide a stable 3MB dsl download speed, will dsl extream have the same problem? I switch to uverse because of this but have to pay arms and legs.

Comcast wouldn't renew my $24.99/mo plan no matter how much I tried. Do I need anything else with DSL? A phone line? Any fees?

i used to have DSL extreme before i switched to time warner because i wanted cable speeds. I can definitely say that their service is excellent! every time i had to call in, they were always polite and helpful. it would crap out sometimes but from my experience, it would crap out because of something that happened with the phone lines in my area and they were quick to try and resolve it!

so yeah, i'd give them a 5 out of 5.

I think they are renting AT&T's phone line so whatever speed problem AT&T has, DSL Extreme should have it too.
