I'm not looking forward to this stupid race that should have been cancelled.
Force India team member left after their car was almost hit with a Molotov cocktail. Not the type of drink we associate with F1 glamour. Bernie you effing imp, stop being so greedy and send a message to the fan that you do have a heart. As for the race and track temperature? Hot hot and some more hot with dry heat. Not waking up at 4am for this race. Superoceans Threads &Rebate tracking worksheet &Frys Rebate FAQ

Bernie is definitely willing to sell the soul of the sport to the highest bidder.
dealing with the devil...on the positive side, details are slowly starting to leak out about the Austin USGP race. they had a meeting in Elroy, the closest actual 'city' to the track, and discussed traffic management with the residents. sounds like they are planning two busses from remote parking - the county events center northeast of austin, and from somewhere in downtown (probably geared as much at downtown hotels and residents than for people to find a place to park). Bus access only for general admission tickets, parking on site is likely to only be available for race officials, teams, FOM/FIA, seat license holders and suite holders. they did reference 40 to 50k temporary bleachers, which seems to be in addition to the already announce ~35k in semi-permanent seating they are selling personal seat licenses and season tickets for (for 2012/2013, F1 and V8 supercars are included in the season price) "Knowledge will forever govern ignorance; and a people who mean to be their own governors must arm themselves with the power which knowledge gives" - James Madison

Bernie has two
Happiness and depression are both feelings, just like joy and anger. It's not feelings that give us problems. It's what we do with them that makes the difference.

![]() The news reports are all over the place as to what caused the fire and how many were injured. Looks like sixteen people (including four Williams team members) suffering from smoke inhalation were treated at the track or taken to local hospitals. Some reports say one person has severe burns and was flown to the hospital, no word on who it is or their condition yet. Senna's car looks to have been damaged by the fire, not sure how bad it is. Maldanado's car was not in the garage at the time the fire broke out. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/formulaone/article-2143820/Fire-Williams-garage-Spanish-Grand-Prix.html Last edited by Zoe Moon; 05-13-2012 at 04:19 PM.. |

Didn't get to watch the post race but that's some bad news for Williams. According to my other web boards, 2 were hurt badly, it most likely started by the fuel area. Seems the feeder series race may also have had some fuel problems? A bunch of computers and tech carts are totalled now with fire and water damage.
Took way too long for the Fire team to get there and there are just way to many people on the pit lane after the race. Hope they recover from the fire. Good job on the Caterham and FI crews being big help with the fire from the get go. |

Williams ready for Monaco after "Herculean effort" Photographs showed it surrounded by charred debris and covered by extinguisher foam but a team spokeswoman said the chassis was fine. Williams' chief operations engineer Mark Gillan said in a team preview that while preparations for Monaco had been "somewhat hampered" by the fire, the team was ready to go racing. "The impact of the fire has been mitigated by what can only be described as a Herculean effort by the factory and our suppliers to restock both the damaged equipment and car parts," he said. http://www.reuters.com/article/20...YA20120521 |

Looks like they will be on /Super soft and soft this weekend and next for canada. Maybe since the Merc have such good mechanical grip old Schumi might have a chance at the podium.
I'm rooting for Kimi to have a good race but who know if he'll be up for it with all the drinking/partying in the marina. |

"This guy's walking down the street when he falls in a hole.
"A doctor passes by and the guy shouts 'Hey you. Can you help me?' The doctor writes a prescription, throws it down in the hole. "Then a priest comes along and the guy shouts up. The priest writes out a prayer, throws it down in the hole. "Then a friend walks by. The friend jumps in the hole. Our guy says, 'Are you stupid? Now we're both down here.' The friend says, 'Yeah, but I've been down here before and I know the way out.'" |
