I am surprised this is not getting more attention. Like the OP said, this is probably the lowest price it has ever been and this is a great device. I made a dual boot SD card and now mine is a great little Android tablet. I am picking another one up for my wife since she uses mine all the time.

Man, I was gonna pull the trigger, but tax killed it for me. TU, Great price, but just a bit more than I wanted to pay.

Yeah, because this is sold by Barnes & Noble I am guessing almost everyone will have to pay tax. But even with tax, this is the lowest price it has been (since the $119 was sold by Barnes & Noble and had tax as well).

So how good is Nook Color running Android? How is this compare to Amazon Kindle Fire in performance?

Got two for my two boys for Xmas. We check Amazon every day for a free paid app. Have not had one app that it couldn't run smoothly. And there's some really good ones.

It's an outstanding reader, app player, music and video player, has a very good speaker, outstanding IPS screen, and is a nice size. You don't need a screen saver as it just doesn't scratch. 6 and 9 year old boys very rough with theirs, and they run like new.

They don't take photos or video. But 480p movies look like HD with the 7" IPS screen.

Get a $7 8GB mSD card and load CM7 and you'll have an outstanding Android tablet to mess around with. It's a perfect bathroom reader/player. Also great for email.

So glad that I got in on this deal just after Black Friday. Many think that BF was the best price on this, IMO this was the best deal on the NC.

As for the tablet its ok, by far the flakiest of the three in the house (Dell Streak 7, Touchpad CM9, and this NC CM7). My 6 year old knows that when the tablet freaks out to tap the power button a couple times. I believe that the NC is only 2 point touch, kids tend to touch it too much and overwhelm it causing it to freak out.

Agreed that my Dell Streak 7 far outperformed the NC as for response time and quickness. But for $115 would be a maybe deal, but no coupon for me.

I purchased brand new kindle fire for $160 from CL. So I'm sure NC below $100 is not far behind

A few things...

1. The coupon works for first time shoppers only. I.E. - create a new account.
2. Tax really hurts the deal. $12 tax too me to $127. I still grabbed one, because that price is good though.

I gotta think refurb NC are poised for a price drop sooner rather than later, given that since the last time this was $130 on ebay, the new ones dropped in price from $200 to $170, and are now $150 new at B&N. Cowboom was selling open-box "like new" NC for $99 for a long time last year. I am surprised these are still over $100, but decent deal overall.
