If you specifically want the Pentax Q, this is a good price for it. However, overall it is pretty highpriced for what you get. It's your basic small-sensor digicam, but with a removable lens. There are much better options out there. The NEX-C3, for example, blows this camera away.

bought the nex c3 in like-new condition for 400. (sears outlet) - BEEN TESTING IT AND IT IS AN AMAZING CAMERA.

also bought the pentax q in like-new for 500. (amazon warehouse; hasn't arrived)

I will try both and report back with my findings. I expect the nex c3 to rock in pictures but will it matter to my newbie eyes?

The only thing keeping me back from staying with the nex is the lack of 1080p. However b/c of its large sensor, its 720p is really good. We'll see how it compares to the 1080 of the Q.

Finally, I want to see how pocketable the Q really is.
