anyone know What happened to Micro Center coupon deal?

I saw a note this afternoon from someone who said their personal info ended up as part of the "code", and as a result they were getting inundated with emails from MicroCenter. Don't know if that's what forced the deletion.

my guess is that the email as sent to very few people, like very very few, and that many people just hacked the url someone posted online. Probably the few people that went to microcenter earlier today got blank stares and maybe manager overrides, but microcenter probably sent out word pretty fast to reject those coupons.

Too bad though, usually threads like that are as amusing as the staples B&M threads where people fight those employees over this and that.........................

The MC I went to was well aware of the coupon, but it was not in their system so they were doing overrides before taxes. Saved a few cents on taxes

As for the original thread, given the amount of people posting their e-mails in plaintext, it was probably removed to stop e-mail harvesting for spammers, albeit a little too late as people were getting spammed already. Just a guess, not for sure.

I love it when fools post their primary email addresses online making it easier for the spammer's lol...

Fairfax, some employees just smile, override, others ask the manager.

Detroit/Madison took coupons from me + 3 friends no problem. didnt have to override, code went in their system just fine.

On a side note, another friend took the printout of his coupon to bestbuy and they matched the coupon. YMMV there though...
