Still one of the best phones with the best plan on a pre-paid - period. Too bad the $25 and $40 plans evaporated.

Optimus deal
Yeah I have this phone and paid 250 for it when it came out. excellent phone. Might need to format it every couple months as it starts jamming up, but this is only if you are constantly downloading and erasing s**** like myself. other than that i would totally recommend. oh, and its tough as nails, if you ever decide to smash it, it wont break, although i don't suggest doing that too much.

Requires new "in-store activation" at time of purchase
what does this mean?? activation? I bought a Cricket ZTE Score last week, and before I left the pickup counter, the cashier said he had to activate the phone. He then "scanned" it barcode ?. I said what does that do, he said it proves we sold it, and it not stolen. I have not opened the phone. I only plan to use it as a wifi and a mp3 player thanks |

I still consider this the best phone for Virgin Mobile, better than the crappy Triumph which looks better on paper.
I suspect the HTG One V will be around the corner after they clear out the OVs. ****************************

This phone is perfect for kids. Adults should get a real phone. I don't know any adults using this phone. Price and plan price is perfect for kids or those who are strapped for cash. Don't have high expectations. You get what you pay for here.

Huh. This is supposed to be the same as the LG Optimus S (Sprint's version), but I realized they moved the home and menu buttons into different positions. I have no idea why they did that...

This is an excellent phone. The performance to price ratio very high. It is pretty straightforward to root (I have Gingerbread on it) and it has a surprisingly decent battery life (3 days of regular usage). The one downside is the highly scratchable screen (apply a screen protector). Edit: I have middling coverage and average a little over 1Mb download speeds according to speedtest.net. Great budget phone. One of the most supported phones in the rooting community. Fits most blackberry cases. For me, 300 minutes of talk and free data/text is perfect for my needs for $35. Sure I wish I had a Razr Maxxx but don't want to be paying $90/mo.
