Many thanks, I missed out on the amazon front page deal awhile back, and been kicking myself for it ever since. This deal has that one beat, and for 1 dollar more than the 1 disc version is on amazon right now.
This is so not a family video though haha. I've never ordered from them I hope they don't edit things. Don't know why anyone would have edited this movie to begin with though. |

So yeah, this is the real deal. Maybe Family Video just found out that BR is more or less about children killing other children and are trying to clean out their stock by heavily discounting it. In for 1, I love this movie, and the price is a steal. God Bless the OP!

As to any cuts - From the FAMILY VIDEO site:
BATTLE ROYALE proved to be both successful and highly controversial in Japan, where it set box-office records and prompted political leaders to call for stricter controls on violence in Japanese entertainment; the film was initially rated R-15 (no one under 15 admitted), unusual for violent films in Japan, though director Kinji Fukasaku later prepared a re-edited version that earned a more lenient classification. Which TOTALLY doesn't say which version this is... or if one or the other is even available stateside, but I figured ti was worth pointing out. |
