Career advice needed!
I just recently got out of a contract opportunity for a company that I absolutely loved. In my entire career, that job was the only one that I've ever enjoyed. Unfortunately, they weren't able to extend me an offer once my contract was up. After my contract ended I accepted a full time accountant position for another company. I've been here two weeks and I loathe every minute of it. It's literally draining the life of out me. Although the salary and title are great for my career, I don't really feel that I can last here long term. The company culture/environment and I just really isn't a good fit. The only reason I accepted the job is b/c I didn't have anything else lined up after my contract ended. I know I may be coming off as ungreateful, but I understand how lucky I am to even have a well paying job (I was unemployed for 1.5 years before my most recent contract opportunity). My friends tell me that I need to do whats best for me and either quit or start looking for another job. I'm doing my best to "gut" it out every day, and try to go in with a positive attitude, but it doesn't seem to be working. I don't really know what to do. I don't want to go through the stress of possibly being unemployed for a long period of time again, but at the same time, the stress of having to go in to work is starting to outweigh the stress of possibly not working. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
