I did a Dell testing through Centercode and no I did not get to keep the laptop but I got an incentive from them. Had a choice between a dell gc or amazon
I also did a product testing through Centercode (was not a Dell product), and thought I wasn't getting compensated. About 2 months later (after I tested the prototype, gave them feedback & sent it back postage-paid), I actually received the completed version of the product I tested. I can't go into details on it, but I saw somthing similar in a retail store, priced well over $100.00. I had a very good experience with CenterCode and would recommend them. I had to apply for a lot of their PT before I qualified for one, though.
I have no idea why my mailman hates me... between Ebay, Amazon, all the free samples he brings me, and a friendly Pit Bull that hates anyone in uniform and/or on the other side of the front door... It's funny how I am always happier to see my mailman than he is to see me
Definitely not worth the time and effort to have to return a machine.
I liked it when HP did their beta test and let you keep the all in one printer.
I used the printer for a couple of years before buying another one so it was great!
They didn't send anything with the unit, accept return shipping instructions. They haven't posted any projects or test scenarios online or via email. They don't have my CC info. This thing has been sitting here for almost a week and nothing is posted on the beta test site and no emails from dell beta.
When I did the Dell tests, Dell had you sign a form that said in the fine print that they will charge your credit card $850 for the value of the computer.
At that time, they made sure that you were a Dell customer before they let you participate (which is why they had my payment details).
I'm currently typing on a Dell they sent me. I sent them an email because they sent me a different computer than what was described in the Beta Test I was selected for and I never got a response. I didn't want to give them false information for the Beta Test so I never filled out any forms on it. I never even registered it through Dell. This was back in October and I still haven't gotten any kind of notice to send the computer back and they don't have my credit card information. Before I accepted the Beta invitation, I made it clear that I would NOT be sending the computer back unless they contacted me with a prepaid shipping label (they never did). In my follow up email seeing if they sent be the right model computer (I sent this twice), they never responded.
