Entered myself & wife to the contest... just booked a 7-night cruise from Long Beach earlier today for 6/3, may stop by LV on the way back to SF. Stay at Circus Circus almost every time to LV due to kids. It is about time to try out another hotel.

If you play a lot of blackjack as I do and follow the basic strategy as I do, and bet progressively as I do, and have some luck which does happen from time to time in LV, not playing sober (I don't mean fall down drunk) is when I have won the most money in LV. 100s of thousands several time with meager buy ins. That is not to say I've haven't lost substantial sums of money, but it has been when I was stone cold sober. I follow what a very experienced gambler once told me at a BJ table in LV a long time ago bet progressive (gamble with the houses money and take advantage of the free drinks but not to excess). You'll have a great time If you lose and you won't think about it till the next morning and if you win you'll have a great time and you won't think about it till the next morning but it'll bring a huge smile to your face when you realize you had a great time and you have some winnings in your pocket.

imperial palace is super cheap and in the middle. if you go mid-week sometimes you can get a room for $24/night
