I think these will melt during transit... I ordered mine 2 day prime shipping through Amazon once and some were partially melted.
Yeah that's my fear too. I'd love to get these but it's supposed to be 80 degrees in NJ on Thursday. If I leave these bars in my car when it's in the 70's they melt pretty quick.

Edit: Gah finally pulled the trigger and downgraded 2-day to standard shipping. Hopefully they'll miss the heat window. drool I love these bars!

FYI, Target's house brand, Market Pantry, sells nutrition bars that are surprisingly solid. 14g protein, tons of flavors (chocolate peanut butter, mocha mint, and my favorite, fudge graham), and they're only $3.99 for a 5-pack.

The protein % is similar to Builder Bars, which used to be my go-to:

Market Pantry: 14g/50g = 28% protein
Builder Bar: 20g/68g = 29.4% protein

Main ingredient is Soy Protein Isolate. Which isn't the greatest kind of protein out there. Soy Protein can create more estrogen within the body even for men. It's okay to consume once in a while, but don't make soy protein your main source of protein every day.

they are good price, except that shipping is $6.

I show Free Prime Shipping, which I would assume means you can get Free Super Saver Shipping as well, if you hit $25 total.....whcih you are already VERY close to!!

Wal-mart also has a brand call "Life Choice" that has 21g/50g bar. It is similarly priced to this Target brand. They aren't the best tasting, but not bad.

ALL protein bars are expensivehug
For iron pumping generations of the past, they used cottage cheese. Not as portable and shelf stable as bars, but cheaper.

aren't cliff bars always 99 cents each at Trader Joe's ? Not sure how this is a deal except saving CA tax.

Picked one up. I don't have Amazon Prime so helped with a filler to $25 for free shipping.

Clif Bars != Clif Builder Bars.

The Builder Bars contain much more protein, usually used for endurance and weight training.

Just picked up 10 at Ralphs grocery store. 7 or 8 flavors, all $1.00 each. They stay fresher, don't have to worry about shipping heat, plus you can choose a selection of flavors.

This chain seems to always have good deals on protein & nutrition bars.

You need an affinity card to get the deal, but who doesn't have one of those.
