Solved: cant get google set as default search in IE9

just started using this new Dell 14r I purchased and when I go into IE9 and manage adons and select the search for more providers option I find Google. I then click on the Add to Internet Explorer tab, but nothing happens and it just sits there. When I right click on it and go to properties this is what is displayed

For the life of me I cant get google to set so I can get rid of Bing as the default search. Yes, I know many dont like IE and I understand, but would still like my IE to function

UPDATE: figured out a way to get it to work: added www.iegallery com under the Trusted Sites option and that allowed the google add to internet explorer tab to launch correctly

The IE Gallery would not allow anyone to select optional search engines for over a week and it just "came back" yesterday or the day before.
I bet you that MSC managed to get thousands upon thousands of unwilling Bing users, during that week and you can be sure that it wasn't an accident that it took so long to fix it, in fact, they probably "broke it" in the first place. MSC will do anything to try and beat Google as THE search engine.
