This was a sham. They shipped me a 430ex. On the phone now with customer service and they and won't do anything about it but return it.

Well I'm impressed. I received a call and voicemail from someone at Canon explaining they were told of the debacle and would like to make it right.
I called back in and they are overnighting me a 430ex ii for the same price. Unhappy with the first round of customer service, but pleased with the second round (so long as the flash gets here on Tuesday). |

Took 1 week to receive the wrong item.
And then they won't even pay for return shipping, won't admit they made a mistake ... Escalated it twice up the phone command chain to get someone to agree that they messed up. No overnighting a flash for me though ... the guy wanted to email me a label to send it back before he would even order the 430exII for me. |

But I already ordered a 430ex-II. I asked if they could pricematch it, lady said YES! And she will also check if she could refund me the shipping for the first/incorrect order. Thanks Canon, you ROCK!!!! |
