HU: NVIDIA GTX 680(Kepler) is now available on Newegg

Should change title to GTX 680, Kepler is the name of the architecture, but only the 680 has been released so far I think.

I managed to score an EVGA GTX 680 right at launch. I'm a happy camper.

I can't justify spending $500 right now, . I already have SLI 460's and those are serving me extremely well.

I built my rig in December but couldn't see spending $200-$400 on an architecture that was about to be "outdated" so to speak. I threw an old 5750 in my rig to get me by until Kepler. These last few weeks have been dragging! Oh well, shoprunner FTW. Either Sat or Mon, my build will be complete.

*drool* these things are going to be awesome.

Kinda off topic, but what kind of performance do you see out of this? I've got a 460 right now and a buddy of mine gave me his when he upgraded but my PSU isn't beefy enough to support SLI of these things. I'm just wondering whether it's worth a new PSU or not.

Speaking of which I hear the 680's actually lower the power requirements from the previous generation. That's awesome.

~80-100% scaling depending on the game. If you have the 768MB version, you'll be really hindered by the lack of memory in some games, like BF3. I have the 1GB version. It maxes out just about every game, except BF3 because it maxes out the memory on ultra settings (so even though it can do like 70-80 fps, frame rate drops every 30 seconds).

And yes, the 680's are crazy with how little power they use ccompared to other cards of the same tier.

Overkill is kind of the theme for my rig... aside from the monitor. I can't get into multiple monitors. Just too much to look at.

Why not at least get a 27" or something like that? I use 30"s at work and I am dying to get one for home. That will never happen though.

Nice. Yeah they're the 1GB version. I think my PSU could support it but I don't have enough connectors for the cards.
