Anyone know if this would have a "new lamp" and if they will give the 2 year replacement on the lamp like they do on the new models due to the higher than normal failure rate?

if the lamp is covered for 2 years , it would be a nice deal. The site says it is covered for 90 days ( on both new and refurb units)

This is an excellent price.
I purchased the refurb Epson 8100 last month and it is a great projector for the price. I confirmed that it does have 2 years coverage on the bulb. If you wan to make sure, you can call or email Epson directly to inquire about the bulb warranty. If the 8350 was available then, I would definitely jump on it. I bought it I had bought an open box at Best buy for 899. It had 95 hours on the bulb. I am now saving $117 and returning the open box to Best Buy!

Just called Epson about the warranty and it's a 2 yr limited on the projector and 90 day on the bulb, it also states that on the site.

Epson will cover the lamp for 2 years as well. Read the review by Evan on this particular issue where he talked with Epson due to the lamp going bad within 100 hrs of use. Epson has good customer service.

Depends on who you speak to there, otherwise it's a big YMMV on the bulb.

The site itself says 90 day warranty on the bulb. Would jump on it if it were actually 2 years.
