I have been a vegan for 6 years and used to waste my money on all kinds of powders vitamins,supplements, and drinks (yes Naked Juice is SCAM). While the ingredients used in this product may be good, it does not matter because most nutrients are DEAD before the product even hits the shelf (dead vitamins, minerals, and enzymes). The only thing your body is going to absorb from this is the hemp protein, and fiber. If your product is made in a factory it is not a miracle product, or a health optimizer, It is a marketing scheme. If you really want to optimize your health you are going to have to stop eating garbage, and start eating FRESH fruits and vegetables. All these "health" powder, capsules, and drinks are a SCAM, and drinking your Monavie will not help you! Invest in a juicer your bodies will appreciate it! I will thumb up this thread because $28 is a good price for people to learn the hard way that these supplements do NOTwork.

I've been on this for 6 months and I personally like it. It has helped me tremendously. I have lost 25lbs and gained a certain percent of muscle mass. I'm not going to say that it was all Vega...certainly the exercise and diet has helped...but I do feel Vega was a good part of it. 28 is a killer price for this. I have gotten it the past few times for 48 on another site ands I thought that was a good price.

In for berry. I'm familiar with how hemp protein tastes so this should be ok.

can anyone comment on this guy's breakdown from amazon?

Let's break down exactly what's in Vega, shall we?
-A combination protein blend, mostly of gritty hemp protein, but also pea protein, and brown rice protein.
-Inulin/FOS blend, which is a very cheap, pretty ineffective fiber/prebiotic blend. The FOS ship sailed back in the 1990's.
-Maca Root, 2500mg. Basically about 1/2 of a teaspoon - so half of a normal serving.
-Chlorella, 2500mg, which is 5 of those little tiny tablets you'd find in a Sun Chlorella supplement. Again, about 1/2 of a normal serving.
-"Omega-3 and Omega-6 Fatty Acids". I put it in quotations because it doesn't say the source, but knowing nutrition, the source is the hemp protein.
-Digestive Enzyme Blend, 300mg. Basically about 1 small capsule of digestive enzymes per serving.
-Stevia Leaf, 300mg. That's A LOT of Stevia, and you certainly taste it.
-"ORAC 800+ Mixed Berry Complex", Another one that needs to be in quotations, because all it is, is 200 measely milligrams of fruit juice powder. Basically about 1/20th of a normal serving.
-Probiotic Blend, 83mg. EIGHTY-THREE milligrams? Why even bother? That's like 1/5 of a capsule. A dusting, basically.
-100% RDA of every major vitamin and mineral, but in a synthetic form, not from whole food.

I want to bite but he makes it sound like there's lots of filler in these products...

I'm all for eating fresh foods but what you are saying is completely inaccurate biologically and nutritionally speaking. You can have your opinions but don't mislead people by asserting something that is scientifically inaccurate.

I got a kick out of that rant as well. However, I do think I'm going to pass on this deal. This really is a great price for the product, but as I look at the label, I can't help but conclude that the "product" really is a fair bit of marketing. Nothing nutritionally stands out as being terribly exceptional in this mix, and I certainly wouldn't consider paying retail for it.

Also, there seems to be a somewhat disturbing number of recent reviews (see: http://veganbits.com/vega-product-review/ linked from an amazon review), complaining of fairly serious reactions after taking the supplement. Vega is "working to identify the problem" but I think it's best to avoid at this time.
