Thread Details

I tried to get the them to throw in the internet streaming, but no luck. I let my service expire in Feb and they have been calling me everyday for the past couple week and I decided to finally answer tonight.

Maybe an ok deal?

Just got the 1 Year free online from other slick deal! Cant believe online has more channels than my paid sub (dj tiesto/george carlin/urban 2k). Kinda pissed off. Online is better.

Are you guys paying for the music royalty fee separately or is it included in the 6/$25?

I was offered the 6 months for 24.99 but i will in the middle of a billing cycle so it came out to 19.00.

Its only Sirius Select not Premier but i've been fine with that for 3 years.

I call every 6 months and never have paid more than $20-$25(plus sales tax).

Have had XM service for 3 1/2 years.
I would just cancel our service if they don't continue to adjust price.

I'm a current subscriber and subscription expires 06/01/2012. Called 866-568-0364 today, asked for the 6 mos/$24.99 offer. No problem at all, renewed for 6 mos. I had no email or mail offer, just asked for the $24.99 deal.
Called the number on the OP... and they said they couldn't do it for my radio ID so they gave me 3 months free... and to call back and get the 6 months for $24.99 when the 3 months expire...
I got 3 months radio and internet for free !!!

Edit:

I called 877 613-3588 and they gave me 3 months free when they couldn't do the 6 months for $24.99

I called to cancel and they would only give me 5 months for $25 for Select. They said the 6 months for $25 no longer available. I'm sure if I cancelled they would have offered it but I think the service is worth $5/month. I spill more beer than that...haha

Hey guys, I am a newbie here...it's funny I had been reading this board for about a week or two, and let my service get cancelled on purpose because I rarely drive that car. I had been putting off calling Sirius because I thought it was too good to be true. Then all of a sudden this morning, the lady calls and says "I see you subscription was cancelled, I can go ahead and restore it for a year for $85". I said "well no, that's not in my budget"....then she says "well the only other thing I can do is 6 months for $30". So thinking back to this message board, I said "well a friend of mine said he only paid 24 dollars". Then magically she said "well I can do 6 months for $24.99 if that will work?"

So I tested her, I said "well just now you said all you had was the $30 plan". Then, get this, she says...."well since you mentioned it, I went back and saw the 'other' promotion". I agreed and got billed for it and they activated my service immediately. My thing is, there was was probably never another promotion, $24.99 is the regular price, and they are probably trained to go as high as they want and get to keep whatever excess amount as commission. Funny how the game is played! Thanks guys for the heads up!
