Thread Details

It appears AutoNation Direct is selling 29 new 2012 cars in 9 days at 50% off the MSRP, you have to pay cash for it, no financing, its first come first serve once the ad goes live! Only thing that scares me is the line

"Buyer must agree to sign a talent release to be used for public relations purposes." - Not sure what that means..

Yes, it's my understanding the 2013 is coming out soon. No exact date, but local dealerships have said preorders have to be in by June 20. There's a $1500 rebate on this. There's also a $900 rebate if you get the 20th anniversary edition (in some areas of country anyway.) The 20th ed. runs about $900 extra, so turns out to be a wash, but I'm not sure many dealerships still have these in stock, and I'm betting they can't order more at this point.

Well..it's not just a new model year...but a redesign. Many buyers do tend to wait for the "new thing"...unless the price discount can sway them otherwise. In your case, that's a disadvantage.

I've dropped price down to $18,945, perhaps that'll do the trick. Has anyone sold theirs besides xyos?

Have you tried running the car by Carmax? They have a beta thing on their website that will give you a range of what they will give you for it.

I did a quick look but could not find anything on their website. Is it under some sub-category ?

There is a green button about half way down the home page on the left side that says "estimate your offer".

Did you try bringing it into a nissan dealership and seeing how much they'd offer you for it? Might not hurt to at least call, I think the hard part is that its not a very good color, and its complete bare bones base line, and most people want some upgrades...you still should be able to make a profit on it though

I am still having fun trying to get the dealer to send me paperwork. Haven't received any yet, and I have told them multiple times that I need a receipt and the MCO at minimum.

The dealership has stopped answering/returning my calls the past week or so, and the only one talking to me now is the original autonation rep who keeps saying he will get someone on it and have them call me later today.

I would keep on them...and let them know you plan on writing a poor review on their survey...that should get the ball rolling.

Or leave them negative feedback on eBay...

One could...but they seem to really take the company survey reports seriously.

I have been calling every business for the last few, today I had to give the autonation rep the contact I was trying to get ahold of at the dealership (because he was apparently talking to the wrong person over there) and said that my paperwork was sent overnight and I should have it tomorrow.

I already filled out the survey and left some notes about my experience.

Had to call back and they sent it monday. got it tuesday... of course no MCO, and my contact at autonation doesn't seem to even know what an MCO is (even though I have been insisting that I need it from day 1)

How did you all get them to send the correct paperwork?
