Xigmatek 200mm case fan rebate
In November, there was a free after rebate deal on Xigmatek 200mm case fan. I submitted the rebate and kept emailing the "account clerk" at Xigmatek to check the status on my rebate. It has been about 4 months and the last email I got is an automatic reply email saying that they are still processing November rebates! It used to be that you could email a particular address and you'd get an actual human reply. That email now gets your autoresponders. Then, it used to be that there was a number you could call to get a live person. That number is now an unmonitored full voicemail dead end. The latest line that they're giving people is that the 12 week deadline is only a courtesy suggestion, and that they can only promise that it'll take at least 12 weeks. If you bought it from Newegg, going through them is likely your only recourse. A coworker on mine bought the same Xigmatek before I could warn him and is going through the entire process right now. Newegg is stonewalling him and he just filed a BBB report against both Newegg and Xigmatek. BBB is a fairly toothless organization, but Newegg tends to respond to them. Xigmatek definitely will not. |

Well, at first few emails, I communicated with a real person whose name is Christina at Xigmatek. What worried me is that the last email I and my friend got back is automatic reply. Since it has been more than 16 weeks, should I keep emailing and calling Xigmatek or contact newegg about this? Any other thing that I can try to get the rebates?

Well, I knew in advance Xigmatek was 'tight' with rebates, as I had to call on a previous offer to get them to send it out finally. So I gave them another chance in Nov on their BF offer for $20 back on one of their Gaia heatsink units.
I didn't know they're no longer actually responding to calls/emails like Huevos claims. I'm still not sure they won't come through, so I just sent off a 2nd email, still hoping they respond as it's been 4 months now... Just completed the BBB complaint on Xigmatek. Gaia Cooler purchased Nov 23rd with a $20 rebate, and of course nothing from Xigmatek. Numerous emails with only auto-replies. Newegg has been (uncharacteristically) unhelpful on this one. Maybe my BBB complaints and posting in forums will save someone else from dealing with Xigmatek.

Has anyone received their november rebates yet except phalanx, the OP? It is now May, 20+ weeks from submission cut off, well beyond the 12 weeks allotted by the rebate form.

Patriot Memory (4myrebate.com): 6 Weeks Tiger Direct (4myrebate): 3 weeks Rain-X (in house): 3 weeks BAD BAD MAIL IN REBATE COMPANIES: Xigmatek 26 weeks, 14 emails, 2 phone calls (finally received) NZXT 21 weeks, 4 phone calls. Check that was finally received was dated 2 months earlier with a 90 day expiration on it, giving me about 25 days to cash it. Shady shady shady. |

Anyway, she said she'd get it out by end of week (gave her my paypal email).. didn't happen, sent a few more emails and finally got paid for the fans mid February. Sigh, this was my worst rebate experience ever. Left voicemail for Christina Fleck at Xigmatek (before her inbox was always full), sent email multiple times, no response. Filed BBB complaint against Xigmatek, no response. Filed BBB complaint against newegg, got long flowery email and phone call from Dianne Segue there. Sent her all my rebate paperwork, she comes back with email saying that Xigmatek denied all 7 rebates because of copies of UPCs (yeah, right), and any further questions can be sent to the Xigmatek email address that no one answers. BBB closes the Newegg complaint for no good reason, and Newegg preserves its A+ rating. Anyone have any suggestions? Credit card chargeback?
