Xigmatek 200mm case fan rebate

It looks like you already filed a complaint against Newegg with the BBB, but definitely file a complaint the the NYS AG and forward a copy to Xigmatek.

As far as a credit card chargeback, you probably don't want to do that. The chargeback will be against Newegg and they will permanently ban your account with their site. If you have no interest in ever giving them business again, go for it, but otherwise, stick with the AG consumer fraud complaint for now.

I saw one person say that they eventually got their "rebate" via PayPal... well, that would be nice. After I had reported this issue to the BBB all I got from dohn@xigmatek were notes blaming me for the troubles they were having processing my rebate, stating that I was impatient and he actually threatened to delay processing of my rebate until all the others had cleared!

I spoke with NewEgg customer service about this and they said they would talk to them for me and since that happened, Xigmatek has changed their tactic to denying that they ever received my forms, thus rendering it invalid. That is nothing more than a lie, period. I have NEVER ONCE waited more than two or three days after the receipt of my products to file for a rebate, consequently I have NEVER had a single company deny or lose a rebate that I have submitted. I am entirely meticulous and expeditious in my approach as I am fully aware of the conditions by which rebates can be legally denied by these companies.

My advice, for anybody considering purchasing a Xigmatek product, is don't... Under no circumstances is it worth it, regardless of the rebate. There are much better products out there for the same amount of money, or less... Seriously. I will try calling Christina, only got her auto-reply before... but I won't hold my breath. Dohn destroyed my forms, I know it. He hates us, his customers, because he represents a dishonest company and we are demanding accountability via public forums and consumer protection agencies that are putting pressure on him and those who hide behind him.

Around what time did dohn@xigmatek say that about being behind or whatever on rebate processing? If they're legitimately behind on the November rebates, that's one thing, but it's hard to believe them when they communicate poorly.

Really, all they'd have to do is have a rep post on here giving an update every week or two that they really are trying to get rebates out, and that would prevent a lot of people from going the BBB/AG route on them "too soon."

They are not "legitimately" behind on their rebate fulfillment. This is merely part of their game. There is no conceivable reason why fulfilling a rebate should ever take six months, particularly since Newegg has barred Xigmatek from offering any more rebates since early this year. They'll drag it out as long as they can so that you either forget about it or just give up.

Again, file a complaint with the NYS AG and send "dohn" or Christina a copy. This is a criminal organization through and through.

I managed to get my rebate after waiting 4 months. I contacted Christina at christinafleck@xigmatekamerica.com. I'm never going through with xigmatek rebates again though. I submitted mine in October and got it in January after contacting them. I didn't have any issues getting the rebate, but I think I'm one of the lucky few.

I bought my fans in Feb and sent those in mid feb so I am now just about to enter the 12th week of the rebate time frame. I wonder when I should contact them.

lol. I remember Newegg had a large banner about Xigmatek fans and FAR. Too many SDers warned about Xigma, so I didn't bite. Anyway, considering Newegg had that huge advertisement, even sent out FAR emails, they should at least stop doing business with Xigmatek if they reneg this time. Makes me not trust Newegg FAR promotions. (Though, at this point, I've pretty much learned myrebates (ASUS,MSI) and corsair rebates are solid and fast. Antec and CM are reliable but slow. Logitech is also reliable.)

Add me to the Ximatek hate list. Five rebates under four rebate offers going back to late October, $100 of empty promises, and constant attempts to contact them - all of naught. I asked Newegg for advice/help and the answer was "it's only been a little over 6 months", give them more time. Maybe the submission to the NY Attorney General office will kick some rust off their checkbook - doubt it...

But then Newegg has been slipping badly for me over the last 2 months (I buy a LOT from them). Actually, I've been finding better products for lower prices elsewhere so no sweat there. Plus, they just charged me a restocking fee for a defective open box fan - now that's lame.

Oh well, older and wiser and fortunately, I'm still free to buy elsewhere (and China has been 100% and fast delivery, sorry Uncle Sam)

Ref. Antec: I'm still trying to get them to respond to an H2O 920 rebate from 120 weeks ago. Such is life....

Don't buy from Xigmatek, their fans are noisy and they never pay the rebates... lower quality product + never-paid-rebate = sucks like hell

They had a few good products AR but everyone was yelling scam, so I decided the hell with it, I am glad I did.

The next time I happen to be in Long Island (unfortunately), I'm thinking about scoping this place out. I'm expecting a dumpster full of rebate forms.
