These are great BTW ... I have TWO (2) of them, and have been using them for last TWO (2) months.
Seem sturdy enough, and if you top off the filter to the "fill here" line it makes a strong enough cup on the B60's largest cup setting ... something the "My K Cup" could never do, no matter how much fanagaling I did with it. You don't need to remove the K Cup Holder (like you do with the "My K Cup" but be careful to seat this properly or you will push the K Cup Holder's needle right through the screen filter, ruining the thing. I haven't done this, thankfully, but there are reports of this on Amazon reviews. Again, people don't read instructions at all or carefully.
BTW - Deal is decent enough, although you must buy FOUR (4) (Share with family, split with friends) . As I paid $22 for TWO ... but also received 12oz. of Community Coffee free. (Would have rather gotten another Ekobrew for free)

Best to get the accurate model number of the machine at Staples or Keurig's website (B40, B60, etc.) as the Ekobrew lists the B30, B130, B150, & B155 as NOT COMPATIBLE.

I bought one from Amazon before I read it wasn't compatible for the B130...they refunded the cost but I can't find anyone to give it to...

I agree with you on all points. Funny thing is I have 6 of these. Here is how my family uses them:

1- Wife
1- Me
1- Son (in college)
1- for Flavored Coffee (whole family)
1- Tea
1- Not being used(back up)

Funny thing is I have had my original one for 8 months, paid full price $14.95 and it is still working great!

Lest we forget how easy they are to clean. A quick water wash out and they're good to go. Once or twice a week, a really hot water wash (don't trust the dishwasher) as explained in manual to clear out the oils. Unlike reviewers of the "Solocup" or "Solofill" (I forgot the name). And for those who will complain, and they will complain ... I don't mind the little bit of sludge at bottom of cup that screen filters (all of them) provide. Add's that nice little bite on that last sip ... I almost savor it.

Got 10 of there for $1 each a few months ago. Pain in the a$$ to clean out. Kind of defeats the purpose of the Keurig in my opinion. Will continue to use k-cups when good deals pop up which should be more frequently with the release of the new Vue.

To each his own. I'm no tree hugger, but I do feel slightly better that I am not adding k cups to the trash pile and I am saving a little $$. I don't find a quick backwash with the faucet that hard, but everyone has their level of tolerance. No problem mon. Wish I snagged 10 for $10 though ...

I too find them a bit of a pain to clean and being in So Cal I'm very weary about wasting water. Plus you wind up rinsing a ton of coffee grounds down your drain and there is no agreement about whether this is a good or bad thing. If you google the subject you will see answers at every point on the spectrum, so who knows.

My favorite solution is San Francisco Coffee's version of the K-Cup. It is a minimalist design with nearly no plastic to throw away and no coffee grounds in your sink. Win-win.
