2.01% APY Checking account - OH, MI, IN and KY
Hi,
I've had a checking account here for a little less than a year and I love it.
The basics:
Sutton Bank [suttonbank.com]
You get 2.01% APY on your checking account (up to $25k, i think it's .75% for any money above that, which is still much higher than most savings accounts). There are three requirements however. 1.) Make an automatic payment (I set up my internet bill) OR have a direct deposit every month. 2.) Use the debit card to make at least 11 $5 purchases a month. I do a lot of my small spending with it and use rewards cards for other spending. 3.) Get electronic statements.
On top of that they offer free atm reimbursement, up to $5, from any ATM (in the USA).
If you don't meet all three requirements they interest gets dropped to .05%, once again higher than many savings accounts, and you won't get reimbursed for atm fees. If it's near the end of the month go buy a few $5 gift cards, just makes sure you leave a few days for the purchase to clear, and you'll be fine though.
Sutton also just started a rewards program that goes along with the debit card. It's brand new so i don't know what it will be like but I have two coupon codes that will get someone a free 450 points (350=$25 gift card) if they open a checking account and sign up for the rewards program.

Leave a message below if you use one of them since they can only be used once i think.
