Question about the calendar on my chronograph watch

thatbb6 1,298 256 March 29, 2012 at 04:35 PM More eBay Deals
I just bought a Navitimer homage made by a company called Rotary. It's identical to the one in this link
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ROTARY-CH...256ed5b573
My question is how can my watch know what month has 30 days what month has 31 days? Does this mean I have to reset it at the end of the month everytime it's off?

If the watch doesnt have a month function then you manually have to set the date on the 1st if the month goes less than 31 days.

And do so before noon, so that it doesnt change the day at noon then the rest of the month.

It sounds like a big deal but its not.

Vague questions receive vague answers . . . . . .

Weren't there watches that had three position stems where the first position out would change the month, pull it out a bit farther for the day, and fully out would change the time? Seems like I remember that way back in the day.
