I do not understand when people post this stuff. How would you get Staples to match the price if you use coupons to already get a better price? Is this a YMMV that depends on getting a stupid associate?

You would have to drive to a store, take up a conversation with the sales person, explain to them that Amazon has it cheaper, get the price match, all fine so far, and then lower the coupon boom on him.

I don't know. It all sounds like it takes a Scrooge personality.

seems you know nothing about staples PM at all.

first, using standalone coupon (the one not attaching to any specified products) will not affect PM at all.

2nd, PM can be done by online live chat. Go to staples.com, click "contact" - " live chat", give your order number and the product link on the competitor's site. That's it. Takes less than 5 mins. Alternatively, you can do this on phone by call Staples 800 number.

It's your choice to jump or not on the deal. But a TD simply shows you don't know much.

don't think this is intended to be a store visit, but an online purchase with online chat assitance for the PM, then apply a coupon code. sounds doable and the idea has been in various other threads, i'm looking for a 3TB, but i'll +1 the thread because it should work

in fact you can simply order with the coupon first, then open a live chat to do the PM. The online rep will refund the price difference and you get a confirmation email of the refund right away. They never ask why there is a coupon used in your order, as long as the coupon is still valid on the adjusted price.

I did like 10 PM's yesterday and looking for a filler right now to use another coupon and $5.00 pm, but have to wait until 5 am
