Norton/Symantec debit cards can no longer be replaced by checks?

Well I've searched every way I can think of (here & Google), and couldn't find any mention, so here goes. I don't believe I'm the first one to encounter the major change to Symantec/Norton Visa Debit cards. I can no longer request checks to replace the cards! Seems the Card center got a memo from Symantec on the 12th of March, indicating that the check replacement is no longer an option? I hate to see that happen, but don't know if I could have any impact by emailing/writing/contacting anyone?

Must be just a coincidence, but I got 17 debit card rebates on the 14th, then 6 debit rebate cards on the 22nd, and yesterday (the 29th) I received 15 more cards. Seems like they're "cleaning house" now that we're stuck with the cards. I have no trouble using them, but it pi$$e$ me off that I'm forced to use them, and lose the Rewards Points I could accumulate with my normal credit cards. Seems like it should be illegal to force me to accept the damn cards. And then there's the bit about having to track any remaining balance on any partially used card.

I didn't know they were even offering a check version, I did some last November and didn't see the option to choose.

Rebate cards can be annoying but you could always pay for your electric, cable, phone, and water bill in advance and add credit to your accounts (Considering that these cards start accruing fees 6 months in, I think)

Lastly, holy moly so many rebates. I thought they were limited to one per household?
